'Andromeda' makes Windows 10 modular with a shell that can adapt to the device type being used. Word on the street is that this number could refer to apps targeting the 'Andromeda' OS that Microsoft is currently developing. References to '8828080' (which incidentally happens to be the phone number of Microsoft HQ in Redmond) were first noticed by Microsoft watcher, WalkingCat, who spotted that a majority of apps with this reference would also work on phones. Recent findings have unearthed a platform listing codenamed '8828080' leading to speculation that this could be a reference to Microsoft's modular OS project codenamed 'Andromeda', which will very well be the OS in the 'Surface Phone'. A new device type has been now added to this list indicating Microsoft is testing apps for this new platform. The Microsoft Store is a one-stop shop for UWP apps targeting different device form factors such PC, Mobile, Xbox, and HoloLens.
